AIJ Releases Informational Video on Judicial Independence

July 1, 2024

Arizonans for an Independent Judiciary has released an informational video on the importance of Arizona's merit selection system to maintaining an independent judiciary. The video contains, among other things, personal recollections of how Arizona's judicial system operated before merit selection was adopted in 1974.

As explained elsewhere on its website, AIJ supports a "Yes" vote on the retention candidates listed in its Voter Guide, found by the Arizona Judicial Performance Review Commission to meet applicable standards, as crucial to supporting Arizona's merit selection system and the independence of its judges. AIJ supports these judges and justices for retention in the upcoming election.
